Christmas Masses

24.12.2023 – 25.12.2023

Celebrate Christmas Eve Masses in the historic neighborhood of Old Montreal, at the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours and Notre-Dame Basilica, both heritage buildings.

The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, Montreal's oldest chapel, awaits you on December 24 at 6:20 p.m. with a magnificent organ concert conducted by Benoît Marineau, titular organist. Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. with Gilbert Dubé presiding.

Tickets are available at the Historical Site Marguerite-Bourgeoy boutique for $10. Don't miss this magical Christmas evening, as well as the Mass of the Nativity of the Lord presided over by Abbé André Desautels on December 25 at 10:30 a.m.

Notre-Dame Basilica, a place of worship not to be missed, holds three special Masses on Christmas Eve.

On Saturday, December 24, Christmas Masses will be held at 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and midnight. You'll hear renowned soprano Caroline Bleau perform Christmas carols before the celebrations begin. Admission is free for the 7 p.m. celebration, but tickets cost $10 for adults and free for children for the Mass of the Nativity of the Lord at 9:30 p.m. and midnight. Please note that masses are celebrated in French only.

On December 25, Masses will be celebrated at 9 a.m., 11 a.m. and 5 p.m., as usual.
