Take a break in the heart of Old Montréal!

This summer, as part of Summer on the Pointe 2025, Pointe-à-Callière invites visitors, locals, and professionals from the area to unwind in a newly designed urban space created with relaxation and enjoyment in mind.

Around the Archaeology and History Complex, Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and colourful, summer-inspired furniture transform the museum’s surroundings—including Place Royale and the tip of the Pointe—into welcoming relaxation zones.

Whether you’re just passing through, on your lunch break, or simply looking for a pleasant spot to pause, the urban rest area offers a peaceful setting to enjoy the sun and rediscover the charm of this historic site.

To mark the space and welcome pedestrians, a visual arch has been installed at the entrance, inviting you to slow down, take a seat, and enjoy the moment. The perfect pause during your next visit to the historic district!

The Urban Space of Pointe-à-Callière is presented with the support of SDC Vieux-Montréal as part of the Programme de soutien à l’offre culturelle du Vieux-Montréal.
