Old Montreal: “Comfort Food” for Delivery or Carryout!

Because nothing raises morale quite like comfort food can, we want to share with you these Old Montreal restaurants that are offering delivery or carryout options:

HAMBURGERS

Uniburger holds an immense, indefatigable passion for burgers, fries, and milkshakes. We also love the Beyond meat option, and often order their onion rings that go so well with their Uniburger sauce. (delivery: you can order online through Uber Eats, Doordash, and Skip The Dishes, Mon.-Sun. 12 noon – 10 p.m.)

Méchant boeuf, for mad cravings, of course. You won’t be able to swallow their huge burgers and sizeable portions in one gulp, but you’ll be left satisfied after your last bite! Their meals hold a touch of trendiness, and you can really feel the brewery atmosphere. They also have wine for take out! (via Uber Eats, Mon.-Sun. 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.)

SANDWICHES

Olive et Gourmando, the neighbourhood institution founded by Dyan Salomon, is still open! Their highly-reputed sandwiches – can you even talk about the Chicken melt without drooling? – are available for carryout only and can be ordered online, by phone, or in store. (Mon.-Sun. 9 a.m.-5 p.m.)

212 has become Wren’s while waiting to be able to reopen, and honestly, it’s a great 2020 makeover! We already love this neighbourhood novelty, appearing as a pop-up “carryout” store that offers hamburgers, hot dogs, and natural wine for takeaway. Oh yeah, save some room for their lemon cake!

Bello Deli is open every day, and offers a selection of gourmet Italian sandwiches, like the Caprese and the Polpetti, which are our favourites. Benny Bello’s establishment also offers a carryout menu and advertises delivery throughout Old Montreal for our lucky neighbours! Try to give a 24-hour notice in advance by directly calling them at 514-507-5907.

EMPANADAS AND TACOS

SuperLoco, Barroco’s take-out counter has really brightened our summer and to our great delight, they are proposing an autumn carryout and delivery menu via Uber Eats and Doordash! We love the diversity in their dishes and the weekly special, which is always worth checking out, as well as the richness of flavours in their meat and vegetarian empanadas. Always hot, siempre muy rico!

La Catrina is great for warming us up with their gourmet Mexican dishes, and we are so happy to be able to have them at home! We discovered that our favourite tacos (hello Nopales and Pescado) on their carryout menu, and we are here for it! (Wed. to Sun., Uber Eats or by phone at 514-543-7172).

PIZZA!

N900, now this is a Neapolitan pizzeria that elevates the purity of the “Pizza and TV supper” concept. It’s no joke, and we love to indulge in this pleasure any day of the week. So what should we watch tonight? (Mon.-Wed. 12 p.m. – 9:30 p.m., Thurs.-Fri. 12 p.m. – 10 p.m., Sat. 4 p.m. – 10 p.m., and Sun 4 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on ishopfood.com. Doordash, and Uber Eats)

Bevo Pizza, for wood-fired pizza to be exact! This well-known Old Montreal restaurant is offering food for take-out or delivery. We love the Parma in Bianco, but the Burrata e black truffle is without a doubt the perfect combination for any refined gourmet palate. Good to know, the business prefers delivery to be done through bevopizza.com, but Doordash, Uber Eats, and Skip The Dishes are also available options.

Pizzeria Bros is the thin crust pizza choice par excellence. Crafted fast and immediately on your plate, we are never disappointed and always fully satisfied: 20 minutes and you can come pick up your order! New – they now have vegetarian cheese and a Beyond Meat option. On their menu, create your own custom pizza, or choose from their signature pizzas. (Mon.-Sun., 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.)

CRÊPES

At Muru Crêpes, we are particularly drawn to their sweet options, and we’ll just say that there’s no use in resisting the “crème brûlée crêpe”, which is basically a two-in-one dessert. This restaurant is offering a carryout menu (you can place your order via their QR code), and delivery via Uber Eats. (Mon.-Fri, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., and Sat.-Sun. 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.)

BRUNCH

At Eggspectation you’ll find the comforting pleasure of classic and decadent brunches that never disappoint. There’s ensured value and a lot of options on their provisional menu, and wouldn’t having brunch at any time be the highlight of your day? For delivery, they are on Uber Eats, Skip The Dishes, and Doordash.

DESSERT

La Diperie allows you to personalize your favourite donuts and discover their variety of cheesecakes and desserts of all kinds. In short, everyone agrees: this sugary decadence is just what we all needed. Visit the shop for carry out orders, or have it delivered via Uber Eats, Skip The Dishes, or Doordash.

Bar à beurre and its special “Thanksgiving” box, available for delivery now, gives us just the autumn flavor we’re looking for. No need to break your back when you want to show off to family and fill your belly. These delicious works of art fill our heart and are simply divine!

Chocosina offers takeaway and delivery, so there’s no excuse for not spoiling yourself! A bit of chocolate is always a timeless gift to give to yourself, or others. And if you’re more interested in fudge, bonbons, or their fruit pearls, they’ve got a good selection of those too. Note that delivery is free throughout Canada and the United States for all orders over $150, and the Saint-Sulpice Street branch is currently open from Thursday to Sunday.
