The man behind the Web Gourmand Facebook page Le Cuisinomane is Tommy, a charming gastronomy blogger/journalist. This lover of all things delectable resides in Old Montreal; therefore it’s just natural that he would dedicate an entire day to experiencing the exceptional cuisine that can be found in le Vieux.
Friday (October 23rd), le Cuisinomane roamed the streets of this historic neighbourhood to help us discover and rediscover the best places in le Vieux to drop by for a coffee, a meal, a snack, etc. “This was a great day. Even the temperature was perfect, I couldn’t have asked for anything more!” Tommy tells us after this day of eating like a king.
Tommy Le Cuisinomane’s mission is to “share [his] passion and [his] love for gastronomy”, and if you want to go by his followers’ numerous reactions – “You’ve inspired us to spend a day in le Vieux!”, “Thanks for the recommendations 😊”, and “Super interesting!” – we’d say that he has succeeded!
Both stomach and heart filled, he has this to say: “In the shops, I was so welcomed; some really spoiled me and were very generous with their time. Many even thanked me! I loved this experience!”
Our guest Instagrammer, and member of the wonderful Gens du Vieux community, gave their best definition of their neighbourhood: “Le Vieux is… proximity. It’s the diversity and the delicacies. But more than anything, it is elegance defined!” And we couldn’t agree more.
