The holidays are a good occasion to put a little bit of magic into our lives, and there’s nothing better than Old Montreal’s lights, architecture, and especially its history, secrets, and imagination to evoke that enchantment. There are some passionate people who can take you far… without even leaving the metropolis. Guidatour is back with the perfect packages for an outing with your friends, family, colleagues, or just as an individual. Find the heart in this year’s holiday season!

The Christmas Secrets of Old Montreal, a great gift

Decorations, lights, and traditions hold the place of honour during these trips! Even if you’re an Old Montreal regular (whether you travel here or live here), there is always something that will surprise and amaze you. “At Guidatour, our guides are passionate and they love telling stories. They adapt to their group and the interest and sensibilities of those touring with them. This isn’t just another cassette tour – each visit is unique,” states Angèle Vermette, owner of the Montreal company.

As for the particulars, visits cost $26 per person (taxes included, tips not included), and are at set times on Fridays and Saturdays in December: 4 p.m. in French, and 6:15 p.m. in English. The departure point is at 360 St-Jacques Street, and comprises a 90 minute trip.

For groups, schedules vary and visits can be reserved from mid-November to mid-January. It is $205 per group (taxes included, tips not included). The Guidatour team recommends making a reservation for late afternoon, so you can fully enjoy the holiday lights in the historic neighbourhood.

Holiday Scavenger Hunt, a unique Christmas party!

If you’re searching for a unique Christmas party idea, this scavenger hunt is a sure bet! After a brief introduction by the staff, 3, 2, 1… begin! Divided into groups of 4 or 5 people, participants will discover the historic neighbourhood through collecting responses and taking on challenges while roaming the streets of Old Montreal. And at the end, everyone is a winner, as friendly conversation and a warm beverage await all the participants once the grand prize is handed out to the winning team.

For groups of 21 people and over, the rate is $43 per person, and for smaller groups, you can contact Guidatour for a personalized rate: info@guidatour.qc.ca
