Installation “A Family Christmas!”

As part of the 2022 Choralies, the Historic Site Marguerite Bourgeoys presents the exhibition "A Family Christmas" in the Bonsecours Market Hall.

The holiday season has always been a time to celebrate with family. Although traditions have evolved over time, gathering around a meal remains the most common activity.

The photographs and illustrations presented at the Bonsecours Market show traditions that are well-established in families, such as gifts under the trees and the Christmas parade. Aware that this period is not always joyful for everyone, you will also find images of soup kitchens and hospital visits.

The Old Montreal SDC is proud to support this program of free family activities.
