Ice:aLittleoftheWorld'sMagicRevealed
The PHI Centre is a veritable treasure trove of art for the curious, the aesthete, and the mind who loves the essential questions we (sometimes) forget to take the time to ask, and Ice is the perfect time to dive deep into these interrogations.
Paramirabo presents three works by Jimmie LeBlanc, and the immersive sound and audiovisual experience immerses the audience in a unique magic "between music, nature, and technology, where inner and outer worlds come together to resonate and vibrate through their collisions."
Ice "is an audiovisual installation, developed in collaboration with Fareena Chanda (artist) and Stephen Morris (physicist), inspired by the silent formation of icicles, seeking to capture the beauty and violence of the water-to-ice transformation process. The musical composition, led by Cristian Gort (conductor), evolves as the visual textures change", a genuinely engaging performance!
... and the Flesh made Word "is a textural exploration where the sonic material is designed in a more tactile than discursive manner, using the formant structures of French vowels as a harmonic model."
Finally, Clamors of Being,"deepens the writing by closely connecting to matter, considering it as a cosmic movement".
Good to know: $25 in advance or $30 on the day of the event - 5:30 pm, March 9th, 2024
