PickaPeckofPumpkins!
The free exhibition "Pick a Peck of Pumpkins!" is back in the Jardin du Gouverneur at Château Ramezay, allowing young and older ones to discover the unusual world of cucurbits.
Although the pumpkin is well known, the rest of the squash is often forgotten. Cultivated for more than 5,000 years, cucurbits can be found "not only in plates, but also in beauty products, on stage, as a musical instrument or in living rooms, as a decorative element."
This year, two activities are offered:
Youngsters aged 4 to 7 will be able to meet the character Rougenelle, a red pumpkin, who will offer them to complete a quest. During their journey, they will discover a mystery word with the help of clues that will lead them to a surprise.
As for the 8 to 12-year-olds, they will be able to test their knowledge of cucurbits through questions that are just as unusual as each other. At the end of this educational questionnaire, the adventurers will find a key that will also lead them to a surprise.
Don't forget to print the documents before your visit and bring a pencil. Enjoy your visit!
