doux soft club: bleu de lieu

bleu de lieu is a public engagement project created by the doux soft club, a collective of artist-commissioners formed by the duo Pénélope and Chloë, Mariane Stratis, and Marion Paquette.

For this exhibit, presented alongside the Yayoi Kusama: DANCING LIGHTS THAT FLEW UP TO THE UNIVERSE exhibit, you are invited to “relax, meditate, and interact” with the elements in the room.

This work, composed of pale blue objects (the collective’s signature colour), evolves constantly as visitors move the room’s items as they come and go. As the exposition progresses slowly over time, video clips will be integrated to show the potential of all the elements in the room.

Don’t miss this unique and collaborative experience that aims to show off different ways of understanding the senses, whether it be through “tactility, textures, colour, sound, and noises, and their effects on our body and environments.”
