Three Summer Activities in Le Vieux That Take Less Time Than You Think

Three Summer Activities in Le Vieux That Take Less Time Than You Think

Are you looking for a short excursion that both young and old will enjoy? Here are three fun ideas that will surely entertain everyone on the quest for their perfect summer adventure. The clock starts now!

IN A MINUTE

Experience the strong sensations of MTL Zipline! The 1200 foot-long zipline course takes you over Bonsecours Isle and through Montreal’s Old Port; you could call it the first urban circuit in Canada! Who among us hasn’t ever dreamed of flying like a bird through the city? Here’s your chance to get close to your dream: 45 seconds on the zipline! This unique activity is offered every day from noon to 8 p.m., and costs $14.99 (plus tax). And, you could also bundle this with some other activities in le Vieux: just check out the very advantageous Attraction Passport.

IN AN HOUR

For the curious and the art lovers out there, see the Meet Marguerite! exhibit at the Marguerite-Bourgeoys Historical Site, or the temporary Montreal Landscapes exhibit at Château Ramezay. In the first exposition, explore the storied life of Marguerite Bourgeoys, the first female teacher in Montreal, a woman of immense character, and an overall model Montrealer! In the second one, you can view 30 paintings illustrating Montreal from 15 different Canadian artists, brought in from the artwork collection of Power Corporation Canada.

IN AN AFTERNOON

This summer, we’re getting active! If you want to spend some time outside, head to Jacques-Cartier Quay and rent a quadricycle – available every day between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. – for a ride by the riverside. And for some more fun, Voiles en Voiles has several family activities, including 10 aerial obstacle courses (ranging from 1 to 10 metres), an immersive 3D cinema, inflatable games, and a pirate ship climbing wall. Become the hero of your own story in this immersive universe!

IN A BITE OR TWO

Are you feeling a tad hungry after your escapades? Try the melt-in-your-mouth cookies from the mobile cookie shop Félix et Norton! These eco-friendly Felix & Norton trucks were first introduced to the world in 2008 – though the brand itself has been around since 1985 – to the great pleasure of famished vacationers around the city! Six cookie flavours are offered here: Chic, Love, Ménage à trois, Caramel, Ebony & Ivory, and Bling-Bling. Now, it’s up to you to choose!
