Lumière sur le Vieux-Montréal - 5th Annual Edition

The LUMIÈRE SUR LE VIEUX-MONTRÉAL campaign is back for a 5th edition and will run full steam until January 8th next year.

In order to bring a specific solution to local shopping in Old Montreal this year, as well as bring about a higher foot traffic that can be felt throughout the coming months, the Old Montreal SDC – with financial support from the borough of Ville-Marie - would like to dedicate its 5th edition of its winter campaign "LUMIÈRE SUR LE VIEUX-MONTRÉAL" to its downtown businesses that have contributed directly to the life and attractiveness of Old Montreal. The combined sectors of commercial activity in the neighbourhood will be honoured during the whole month of December thanks to this outreach initiative, which will encompass all holiday-related activities in the neighbourhood.

Good addresses for holiday shopping

The campaign will run full steam until January 8th next year, and will feature: promotions, contests via the Gens du Vieux Facebook group, free activities for the whole family, festive events, gift idea suggestions and, gourmet holiday themed menus. So you can rest assured there will be a whole parade of great shopping options for the holidays, festivities specific to Christmas and New Year’s Day, and fun vacation destinations!

Luminous route and urban winter relaxation areas

And in addition to these exciting activities, there will be a wonderfully luminous holiday decoration component. Comprising a route of nearly twenty sites to see throughout the whole historic neighbourhood, this wintertime display will have you amused and astounded this season! Visitors’ experiences will be elevated further thanks to the urban winter relaxation areas for pedestrians to rest their legs while enjoying the spaces set in the renowned plazas and public spaces of Old Montreal.
