Romantic Getaways for Valentine’s Day

Romantic Getaways for Valentine’s Day

Experts say that going out on regular dates is beneficial to a relationship, but figuring out how to get out as a couple has been quite difficult over the past months. So, for this Valentine’s Day, Old Montreal is the special destination in our hearts. Use this address book as a guide to plan out your 2021 Valentine’s Staycation!

Even if certain restrictions remain in place, it is still possible to celebrate as a couple. And according to Marie-Ève Paquette, sexologist at l’Institut de Psychologie Contextuelle – located at 422 Saint-François-Xavier – “it is important for a couple to have some one-on-one time in order to help maintain their connection. Like all other emotions, love fades, transforms, and grows over time… Connection to oneself and one’s partner allows one to be fully present, and facilitates love’s ability to help the relationship grow and blossom.” If you want to dive further into this subject, Mrs. Paquette recommends reading the book Act With Love by Russ Harris, which you can purchase at Bertrand Bookstore (please note that the French version is temporarily out of stock).

We heartily recommend you take some time out of your day to show your loved one that you still care for them, even during a pandemic.
