With tastes from Italy, France, Spain, and even Portugal, your taste buds will get a gourmet escape this spring with the help of this address book.

“Let’s Start in the South”

Portugal, with Porto Mar, 201 Place d’Youville

Experience the sea air, a warm breeze, and the sound of waves in this restaurant’s dishes. Their grilled fish and carefully selected wines are a call to pleasure as you enter this beautiful space with its grey stones, established in the neighbourhood since 2005. We appreciate their sincere, high-quality cooking.

Takeout and delivery via Skip the Dishes available Monday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Restaurant Helena, 438 McGill Street

Then all that’s left is for you to drop by and pick up your order! Orders can be placed Thursday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and can be picked up between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Delivery available.

Les Pyrénées, 320 Saint-Paul Street West

Now, a small way away from Portugal, we have arrived in Spain with Les Pyrénées! With their menu bringing the sun all year long, their chefs prepare the food with a lot of originality, and more importantly, a lot of taste. Dishes packed with sunshine – we wouldn’t expect anything less! A big (obvious) shout out to their seafood paella, chorizo, and Catalan chicken, which is making us drool just thinking about it!

For pick up and delivery via Skip the Dishes.

Ristorante Quattro, 17 Notre-Dame Street West

And here we are in Italy! Ristorante Quattro offers homemade authentic Italian specialities, cooked with Italian and local products. Featuring a different menu every weekend, there is always something new to discover over and over again! They also offer succulent packaged, pre-cooked sauces, including: rosée, puttanesca, arrabiata, bolognese, etc.

Ikanos, 112 McGill Street

This Greek restaurant is a true celebration of cuisine from the ocean. Fans of fish will be seduced. Seafood connoisseurs will be enraptured! We love their meal boxes which are good for giving yourself a break from cooking for an evening. Psst! They have a great selection of wines to accompany your Mediterranean meal.

“Celebrating Central Europe!”

Bistro Marché De La Villette, 324 Saint-Paul Street West

Our French cousins have charcuterie plates, “Villette-style” cassoulets, barbeque chicken, and many other tasty dishes to offer us! This is one of our favourite restaurants that really makes us feel like we’re actually in the country, all while staying in our favourite neighbourhood!

Carryout or delivery via Doordash and Uber Eats.

“And We Can’t Forget the North”

Brit & Chips, 433 McGill Street

Fish ‘n’ chips, please! Who hasn’t dreamed of a good “chippy” to fill the emptiness inside? At this restaurant, they serve their dishes in huge sheets of newsprint, and will surely brighten your day in an instant! The beautiful, overfilled plates, just begging to be eaten, are the secret to their success. Their food is perfectly fried, their vegetables fresh, and their little dishes of sauce are exquisite. It’s hard to choose one favourite, because the whole restaurant is a true favourite in and of itself!

Delivery Mondays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and pick-up available Mondays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Mandy’s, 423 Saint-Nicolas Street

Craving a nice Norwegian salad? Look no further than Mandy’s! Though this restaurant doesn’t specialize in Norwegian dishes specifically, we thought it would be nice to tell you about their many salads that can, clearly, make any salad fan rave. Their seared tuna salad will transport you to northern Europe: beautiful pieces of pan-seared tuna on a bed of hand-picked vegetables. We promise, the round trip will be quick!
