20.11.2019 – 04.12.2019
Every Wednesday, from November 20th to December 4th, come take part in a series of embroidery workshops at the Ashukan Cultural Space. “Women are sisters” is a healing project using art practices. Its goal is to sensitize the public to the violence inflicted on Indigenous women by using traditional artistic practices of embroidery, to build solidarity with the victims and their families. At the end of this project, the pieces of embroidered fabric will be assembled into a “Memory Quilt” that will be exposed in 2020 at the Ashukan Cultural Space.
