Did you know that August is Archaeology Month? Pointe-à-Callière is celebrating the past in a big way! Here are the important dates to remember:
Thursday, August 15 at 7 p.m.: ROUND TABLE
Learn more about the origins of corn and its importance to Native American communities, from an archaeological and historical perspective, at this round-table discussion organized in conjunction with the current exhibition Olmecs and the Civilizations of the Gulf of Mexico, currently on showcased on site.
Allow 60 minutes for the presentation + 15 minutes for questions, the round table is offered in French and English (simultaneous translation), prices, times and panelists can be found here.
Sundays, August 4, 11 and 18, 12-4pm: ARCHAEO MISSION
Bring the whole family for the Archaeo Mission: excavate the museum floor, arm yourself with patience, observation and dexterity - you're the archeologist!
