Marguerite: la pierre – Soundwalk

Marguerite: la pierre – Soundwalk

06.06.2022 – 30.10.2022

Explore Old Montreal with the aid of the Marguerite: la pierre soundwalk, presented by Foundation PHI and created by Onishka Productions in co-production with the Centre du Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui (CTD’A).

The soundwalk, narrated by artist Émilie Monnet and four other guests, leads us to meet Marguerite Duplessis. She is “the first enslaved person and first native to have fought for her freedom in the legal system in New France”. During the walk, you will learn that many of the stone-faced buildings in Old Montreal are still marked by this story from the past.

This event is completely free. All you need to do is download the soundwalk on your smartphone, start out in front of Phi Foundation, and immerse yourself in this experience whenever it works best for you.

N.B.: Schedules and more details can be found directly on the company's website.
