Attend the English version premiere of King Dave, a production by Théâtre Duceppe.
Meet Dave, a young Haitian from Montreal-North, played by the brilliant actor Patrick Emmanuel Abellard who will face the consequences of the toxic culture surrounding him. Set in the heart of Montreal, the play tackles several hard-hitting subjects such as peer pressure, prejudice, gun violence and revenge.
Created in 2005 by Quebecois actor Alexandre Goyette, King Dave was given a second life in 2021 by Anglesh Major, who adapted and performed the French script with much success at Théâtre Duceppe. It has now been translated by Patrick Emmanuel Abellard who delivers with accuracy a strong emotional performance with an intense text sprinkled with humor.
Located in the heart of Old Montreal, Centaur Theatre is devoted to sharing stories that expand our perceptions of the world. From March 28 to April 16, 2023, it is your chance to attend the play King Dave. Reserve your seat, tickets are now on sale online.
