Italian Montréal

From March 10, 2021 to January 9, 2022, the Pointe-à-Callière Museum presents the temporary exposition Italian Montréal which, as its name would suggest, centers around the Italian community in Montreal.

Here, you can see family heirlooms that have either originated from Italy or were created here, and which recount the lives of the first Italian immigrants to our metropolis. Plus, there are historic photographs, audiovisual artifacts, and archival documents that show strong and moving moments experienced by the first generations of immigrants.

Italian Montréal is a great chance to get to know our Italian-Montreal neighbours, who make up one of the oldest and most important cultural immigrant communities in the city.
