INVERSE

30.06.2022 – 28.08.2022

During its free summer programming, Centre PHI invites you to watch INVERSE/THE FUTURE IS OFTEN A STEP BEHIND, the experimental documentary by Nicolas Jenkins. This director depicts a portrait of several generations of queer communities by showing a day in the life of thirty participants in New York.

This work will lead you to question yourself about the predominate assimilation of 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, all while serving as a reminder that “we have not gotten rid of racism, sexism, misogyny, transphobia, homophobia, or the stigma of HIV and AIDS.”

INVERSE is co-presented by Montreal Pride Festival with the support of Old Montreal SDC.

* Note that if you wish to experience other exhibits at Centre PHI, the INVERSE documentary is included in the price of entry in Pathway 1: Yayoi Kusama, Pathway 2: Marco Brambilla, and Pathway 3: Horizons VR.
