UnheardFreqs
For one evening, the Very Low Frequency Dub Collective (VLFDC) will explore Rirkrit Tiravanija's "untitled 1996 (rehearsal studio no. 6) (2023)" to detect very low frequency (VLF) radio signals, also known as "Unheard Freqs".
In a room at the PHI Foundation, listen to the signals broadcast as amplified sounds and vibrations. These are also accompanied by rhythms emitted by turntables. "Resonances that emerge will be captured with ambient microphones, and will be recorded live to lathe cut records that will then be remixed back into the evolving soundscape."
Don't miss this unique sound performance.
