Think you know your way around Old Montreal? Have you ever tried those restaurants or visited those stores a little more hidden in the historic district? Here are a few lesser-known spots that are definitely worth a visit.

La Traversée, 535, de la Commune Street East

This restaurant aboard the Bota Bota spa offers simple dishes made with local ingredients and fresh flavors. Maison Pépin alley, 378, Saint-Paul Street West

Maison Pépin's magnificent alleyway looks like something straight out of Pinterest. Its brick arch decorated with lights and plants will make you feel like you're in a movie. Clandestino, 436, Saint-François Xavier Street

This bar is hidden away in the basement of Venice and Boho, and offers 30 seats in a unique atmosphere. Its hushed, speakeasy-style decor is reminiscent of the speakeasies of the time, and its impressive menu features tequilas and mezcals that can be enjoyed as platters or original cocktails.

Nhâu Bar, 600 William Street

This Asian-inspired bar is located beneath the Há restaurant. The rich, sophisticated cocktail menu was imagined by Tao Zrafi and Maxime Daraize, and perfectly complements the menu concocted by chef Ross Louangsignotha! You'll be transported to another universe with every visit.

Vandale, 120 McGill Street
