Address book: eat outside in the Old-Montreal

We've been waiting for good weather all year, so now that it's here, it's time to make the most of it! We suggest eating out and having fun in Old Montreal at lunchtime.

Urban oases

Take a break in one of Old Montreal's urban oases for an outdoor lunch with colleagues or simply to get some fresh air! You'll find seven different locations with friendly amenities in the historic district. From Espace Éphémère, at the corner of Queen and Wellington, to Square des Frères-Charon and the square in front of Marché Bonsecours.

Petanque courts

Once again this year, Old Montréal invites you to play pétanque on the many pétanque courts available in Old Montréal, on de la Commune Street East and in the Cité du Multimédia! The courts are freely accessible, with no opening hours. Bring your boules and jacks, as well as your lunch, and enjoy a moment of pleasure in Old Montreal.

Place d’Armes Music Zone

From Monday to Friday during lunch, come discover new artists with the free concerts at the Place d’Armes Music Zone. It’s the perfect event to entertain yourself while enjoying the sun and a delicious picnic with your friends! The whole program for this summer is available here.

Terraces in Old Montreal

If you're not in the mood to cook, but want to enjoy a good meal in the sun, the terraces of Old Montreal are the perfect place for you and your gang! During the summer months, these restaurants offer refreshing dishes and sophisticated cocktails, to be enjoyed while admiring a magnificent view of the district!

Placottoirs

SDC Vieux-Montréal offers you magnificent urban placottoirs to relax and enjoy your coffee break or lunch with colleagues. Take a seat at one of the placottoirs located on Saint-Jacques and Notre-Dame West streets and admire the area's magnificent architectural cachet.
