How much do you really know about the Saint-Henri neighbourhood? Pointe-à-Callière gives you the opportunity to grasp its essence and complexity in its "The Heart and Soul of Saint-Henri" exhibition.

If Montreal is a mosaic of neighborhoods rich in history and anecdote, each radically distinct from the next, here we proudly inhabit a neighborhood as we embrace an identity.

This time, the spotlight is on Saint-Henri! Through documents loaned by its residents, in dialogue with artifacts from the 18ᵉ and 19ᵉ centuries collected for the occasion, the Pointe-à-Callière museum paints a fair and touching portrait of this area stretching from Atwater Avenue to Highway 15 and between the Lachine Canal and Westmount.

This former tannery and factory district, now in full transformation, stands out in the city's history as a stronghold of social struggles. It's also a neighborhood whose residents are very involved in their community, as you'll discover throughout the exhibition - a wonderful nod to Montreal that's not to be missed!
