RootedIntentions:WhenArtBecomesCeremony
Presented by Sacred Fire Productions, Rooted Intentions: When Art Becomes Ceremony is an exhibition by Veronica Johnny, a multidisciplinary Nêhiyaw (Cree) and Dënesųłıné (Denesoline) artist. The exhibition is also a key event of the first edition of Montreal Climate Week.
Through her works, Veronica Johnny offers an experience where art goes beyond aesthetics to become a practice rooted in presence, reciprocity and respect.
Visitors are invited to slow down, observe and experience the exhibition through contemplation and connection. Silence, space and the thoughtful placement of each work contribute to creating spaces for encounter, renewal and shared reflection.
The exhibition also invites us to reflect on our relationships with one another and with the Earth, while exploring the power of art as a space for transmission, care and collective responsibility.
