This fall, Tourisme Montréal invites Montrealers to see their city from a fresh perspective with a series of eight free guided tours, operated by Guidatour. From October 2 to November 1, 2026, explore Montréal on foot and discover the stories, people, and neighbourhoods that have shaped the city, accompanied by professional guides.
Among the eight itineraries offered, three invite you to explore Old Montréal from a different perspective. With 300 Years of Crime and Justice in Montréal, delve into the darker side of the historic district through three centuries of criminal cases, landmark trials, and compelling stories from Montréal’s judicial past. The Women Who Shaped Our History highlights the Montreal women who helped build, defend, and transform the city while contributing to social progress. Finally, Inclusive Montréal: Accessible Old Montréal, developed in collaboration with Kéroul, offers an accessible itinerary designed with everyone’s comfort in mind, providing an opportunity to discover the history and charm of the neighbourhood.
Each walking tour lasts approximately two hours and is offered primarily in French, with select departures available in English. Tours take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., depending on the itinerary and availability.
Participation is free, but space is limited and advance registration is required. A $10 deposit per person is required at the time of booking and will be refunded after you attend the tour. In the event of a no-show, the deposit will not be refunded.
