Nohkom’sKnick-Knacks
In December, Geordie Theatre takes the stage at Centaur Theatre to present two English-language productions from its 2026–2027 2Play Tour: Hooligan Theory and Nohkom’s Knick-Knacks. Typically performed for school audiences as part of one of Canada’s largest touring theatre programs, these productions will be exceptionally open to the general public, offering families a special opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre together during the holiday season.
Among the featured productions, discover Nohkom’s Knick-Knacks, a heartwarming and imaginative play that explores family bonds, memories and cultural heritage through the eyes of a young girl.
As her family prepares to move, Abby helps sort through the belongings left behind by her late grandmother. But when Mugz, a grumpy old stuffed lemur, suddenly comes to life, an unexpected adventure begins! Together, they uncover the stories and memories hidden within everyday objects, taking Abby on an emotional journey filled with humour, heartfelt moments and discoveries about her Cree heritage.
Blending playful moments with reflections on grief, family traditions and the importance of memories, this production invites audiences of all ages to reflect on the connections that bind us to those who came before us.
Written and directed by Barry Bilinsky, the play is a Geordie Theatre production presented as part of the 2026–2027 2Play Tour. A short discussion with the cast will follow the performance. Get tickets online now.
