HooliganTheory
In December, Geordie Theatre takes the stage at Centaur Theatre to present two English-language productions from its 2026–2027 2Play Tour: Hooligan Theory and Nohkom’s Knick-Knacks. Typically performed for school audiences as part of one of Canada’s largest touring theatre programs, these productions will be exceptionally open to the general public, offering families a special opportunity to experience the magic of live theatre together during the holiday season.
Discover Hooligan Theory, a thought-provoking play that explores unexpected encounters, differences and the connections that form beyond first impressions.
Madison is a science-loving teenager who dreams of expressing her ideas through art. Riley, on the other hand, is a quick-witted young graffiti artist with his own unique perspective on the world. Despite coming from very different backgrounds, a chance encounter sparks an unlikely friendship. Through scientific experiments, nighttime adventures and personal challenges, the two teenagers gradually get to know each other and begin to question their own perceptions.
Blending humour, emotion and reflections on social realities, Hooligan Theory explores themes of identity, creativity and the importance of feeling understood and accepted.
Written by Sarah Danielle Pitman and directed by Dean Fleming, the play is a Geordie Theatre production presented as part of the 2026–2027 2Play Tour. A short discussion with the cast will follow the performance. Get tickets online now.
