A highlight of Montreal’s cultural calendar, the World Press Photo Exhibition returns to Marché Bonsecours with a powerful new selection of the year’s most compelling press photographs.
Presented in over 100 cities around the world, this prestigious exhibition draws more than 70,000 visitors annually in Montréal alone.
For the 2026 edition, the jury of the World Press Photo Contest, based in the Netherlands, reviewed 57,376 images submitted by 3,747 photographers from 141 countries. From this rigorous selection process, 137 winning photographs were chosen, representing the work of 42 photographers from 31 countries.
With images of striking emotional power, World Press Photo Montréal 2026 offers an opportunity to reflect, connect, and better understand the realities shaping our world today. An exceptional and deeply human experience not to be missed.
