The Château Ramezay is the first building proclaimed an historical monument in Québec and is the province's oldest private history museum. Venerable witness to the history of Old Montreal, it is a heritage landmark not to be missed.
Built in the 18th century as a prestigious residence, the Château Ramezay invites you to relive more than 500 years of history of history through its numerous exhibits, from the pre-contact Amerindian era to the 20th century, and multimedia portrayals of historical figures, as Governor Ramezay or Benjamin Franklin, recounting highlights of their lives at the Château. Also visit the Governor's Garden, and experience the delights typical of an 18th century urban garden in New France. A courtyard café overlooks the garden. Adult : 11$
