New year, new beginning! Discover the SDC Vieux-Montréal’s latest digital initiative: a complete overhaul of the sdcvieuxmontreal.com website, the result of a fruitful collaboration between TUX Agency and the SDC team, made possible thanks to financial support from the City of Montreal.

This completely redesigned platform, featuring dynamic content and improved functionality, is defined first and foremost as a practical tool for the historic quarter’s businesses and its community. In line with its role as a catalyst within the Old Montreal business scene, the SDC saw in this project an opportunity to create not only a high-performing tool, but one that is especially effective in supporting the development and economic vitality of the important territory it serves and represents.

Thanks to this new digital ecosystem, our organization is not only improving the reach of its initiatives with respect to members and partners, but is also further developing its consulting services by refining the presentation of socioeconomic data for the historic district, all while continuing to promote the destination and its business offerings to the general public.

In addition to a modernized design, an enhanced user experience will allow users to discover even more information regarding the welcoming character and daily economic life of Old Montreal.

Among the key features of the new website:

A dynamic directory of district establishments and amenities

Thanks to efficiently designed interactive maps, users will be able to easily navigate the directory of Old Montreal businesses and keep apprised of seasonal development projects carried out by the SDC. The Outdoor Amenities section is one of the new features of this digital overhaul and aims to enhance positive visitor experience in the historic district by clearly referencing improvement and community-oriented projects deployed throughout the territory for the entirety of its clientele every season of the year.

Updated economic data on Old Montreal relevant to its business community

Entrepreneurs and business managers, as well as organizations and media interested in the district’s development, will now have access to a considerable pool of economic data relevant to the continued improvement of their content and business strategies: visitor traffic trends, market research, macroeconomic updates, development of promising projects or new sectors of activity, strategic partnerships, investments in the historic district, and much more.

A complete member’s area for Old Montreal entrepreneurs

A brand-new digital space has been made available to members of the SDC Vieux-Montréal, bringing together a wealth of resources and information relevant to entrepreneurship in Old Montreal. Among the notable elements included in this revamped section, members will not only have access to the organization’s corporate documents, but also to professional training content and master classes, special announcements, directories of key resources for their day-to-day operations and business strategies, as well as a vast media library, a useful tool in the development of marketing initiatives for local businesses.

Also, with a view to continuously improving its communication strategy vis-à-vis its 2400+ members, and to facilitate the transmission of requests and information, the SDC is now putting a brand-new communications channel at the disposal of neighbourhood stakeholders in the form of a one-stop shop, allowing members to report issues on the ground so that these may be efficiently relayed to the appropriate municipal services or external partners.

Local offers for the Gens du Vieux

Finally, in keeping with the community spirit of the Gens du Vieux (i.e. the neighbourhood’s entrepreneurs, workers and residents), the new digital platform now offers a complete section dedicated to Special Offers available in Old Montreal. This is the ideal showcase, especially for its local clientele, to explore what the neighbourhood has to offer in a most advantageous way!
