03.11.2023 – 10.03.2024
This exhibition is an interaction between people and their environment, rather than the observation of art objects on static display. With this practice, Rirkrit Tiravanija encourages viewers to participate in the artistic experience she proposes, rather than passively consuming culture.
As part of this exhibition, you'll find two installations: a musical rehearsal room, where you can listen to recordings of rehearsal sessions and play with instruments on site, and an immersive room with a frame-by-frame reconstruction of a bar that was part of the set of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's film Ali: Fear Eats the Soul. You'll also enjoy the presence of an actor bartending and serving drinks at certain times during the week.
Come and enjoy a unique experience as you discover the practice of artist Rirkrit Tiravanija.
This exhibition is presented with the support of the SDC Vieux-Montréal as part of the Programme de soutien à l'offre culturelle du Vieux-Montréal.
