Centaur Theatre presents the long-awaited English-language premiere of Kisses Deep, a poignant and visually stunning work by acclaimed playwright Michel Marc Bouchard.

At the heart of the story is Hugo, a young man from the Montreal suburbs who dreams of becoming a fashion designer, inspired by his idol Yves Saint Laurent. When his mother Béatrice’s reputation is shattered after her arrest for assault, Hugo embarks on a bold mission: to restore her dignity by crafting the perfect outfit for her court appearance.

As he stitches together this vision, Hugo confronts the tangled love, pain, and resilience that define his bond with his mother. Through their journey, Kisses Deep asks whether art can serve as a refuge and a form of redemption, or if it merely reflects the wounds we carry within.

With Leni Parker as Béatrice and Kevin Raymond as Hugo, alongside Lyndz Dantiste, Yves Jacques, and Alice Pascual, this deeply moving production blends the glamour of haute couture with raw human emotion. Directed by Eda Holmes, who helmed the original French production at Théâtre du Nouveau Monde, Kisses Deep is a compelling exploration of creativity, identity, and the transformative power of art.
