JosèfaNtjam:swellofspæc(i)es
Artist, performer, and writer Josèfa Ntjam presents an immersive installation that transports the public into a universe suspended between the cosmos and the ocean depths.
Through video, sound, sculpture, and storytelling, she invents a new creation myth where plankton becomes the link between the sea and interstellar space.
Blending archives, science, mythologies, and contemporary technologies such as artificial intelligence, this work blurs the boundaries between memory, biology, and fiction. A dedicated reading space complements the installation, inviting reflection, sharing, and contemplation.
Presented for the first time in North America, swell of spæc(i)es was originally commissioned by the LAS Art Foundation and premiered as a collateral event at the 60th Venice Biennale. For tickets and full details, visit the PHI Centre website.
