Exposition photo Le Vieux-Montréal : au cœur des affaires

Journey through Old Montreal’s history via photograph, with a focus on Le Royer and Saint-Claude Streets. The exhibit Old Montreal: At the Heart of Things shows the evolution of the business community in this vibrant historic neighbourhood over the years.

While there are thousands of archival photos that show Old Montreal’s evolution, the ones in this exhibition show more about the architecture of storefronts over the years. This showing displays 18 images in which “life arrives to embody and participate in the evolution of Old Montreal” by showing humans spreading throughout the neighbourhood over the eras.

The photo exhibit Old Montreal: At the Heart of Things is being put on by the Old Montreal SDC with financial support by the borough of Ville-Marie. Particular thanks goes to the team at Château Ramezay which helped with the arrangements for this project.
