In Magali Cazo's canvases, you'll find enigmatic, evocative silhouettes of women who will captivate you thanks to the contours that merge, creating a blur that accentuates the ambiguity and depth of the subjects. Amielle Clouâtre's works that accompany Cazo's women capture the essence of the landscapes she encounters.
In the presence of each other, the works of these two artists allow us to observe a connection between the landscape and the women's bodies, leading at the same time to an exploration of feminine identity. "The works invite us to contemplate the withdrawal often imposed on women. The landscapes depicted become refuges, intimate places where women can finally unfold their narratives."
When you visit the exhibition at Wishbone Art Gallery, you'll be able to purchase works from this unsettlingly sensitive collaboration.
