As part of the historic district’s winter lights program, several grandiose and impressive decorations stand out for their surprising scale. Notable among these are the 16 scintillating freestanding stars in a variety of forms that grace the Place d’Armes and the section of Place Vauquelin on Notre-Dame Street East. 

In addition, luminous and majestic trees of life adorn 3 different locations in Old Montreal, namely: Place Royale, Frères-Charon Square and the front square of the Palais de Justice. These symbolic decorations, set up during the winter months, stand as true and glowing ambassadors of the historic district’s magic and charm.
