This week, I would like to offer you insight into the lives of some people of the #OldMontrealCrew: I visited 5 of our neighbourhood’s residents to get their opinions on some sweet spots in Old Montreal, but also to chat about their #roomwithaview… Truly breathtaking in my opinion.Azamit / Creative Director @azamit
Q: So Azamit, what’s your idea of a perfect day off in Old Montreal?Old Montreal really fills up with tourists on hot summer days! You will see people who come from all over the world so, on my days off, I love walking my dog Tsuki Chichin, and pretending like I’m in another country. Hearing a wide variety of foreign languages is always very refreshing!Q: And what is your favorite place in the neighbourhood, the kind of place you have to go to every day?There are many of them! For drinks, you can find me on the terrace of Le Bremner; for coffee, at Olive & Gourmando, and I love going to Titanic for their delicious BLT sandwiches.Francis Rudman / Co-Owner A785 @aseveneightyfive
Q: So Francis, what’s your idea of a perfect day off in Old Montreal?I love waking up slowly and making the most out of my routine at home while observing the frantic energy of the Place d’Armes from my window. This entices me to get out of the house around noon and head towards Saint-Paul West for a bite to eat and to check out what’s new in the local boutiques. Q: And what is your favorite place in the neighbourhood, the kind of place you have to go to every day? Q: So Trudy, what’s your idea of a perfect day off in Old Montreal? I am someone who likes observing everything from the general scenery to the finite details. I really love taking my time to do things well. My idea of a perfect day off is staying at home and/or walking around Old Montreal and admiring its unique and incredible architecture! Q: And what is your favorite place in the neighbourhood, the kind of place you have to go to every day? Q: So Corentin, what’s your idea of a perfect day off in Old Montreal?When I have time, I love waking up really slowly with my girlfriend and/or going to get lunch with my mom who lives right beside the Sid Lee agency building.Q: And what is your favorite place in the neighbourhood, the kind of place you have to go to every day? Q: So Herby, what’s your perfect idea of a day off in Old Montreal?There is no better start to a day than a relaxing and stress-free one at home on my terrace with a good book. Afterwards, I’ll go work out at studio Gymnasia on Saint-Pierre Street and finally go to Bello in the Place d’Youville. Then, I hop on my bike and take the bike path which goes from the Montreal Science Centre all the way to the Atwater Market to do my groceries. I love inviting friends over to my place for supper, and watching the sunset over aperitifs because I am quite the romantic type!Q: And what is your favorite place in the neighbourhood, the kind of place you have to go to every day?The small restaurants on Saint-Paul Street, especially Mangiafoco and Bremner, two of Old Montreal’s finest!
