“Sensations,” the 24th edition of the Montréal Baroque Festival, invites audiences to experience early music through all the senses.
From June 18 to 21, 2026, in Old Montréal and the Quartier des Spectacles, the festival presents a journey where 17th- and 18th-century works can be heard, seen, felt, touched, and even tasted.
This year’s program brings together acclaimed artists from Québec and beyond for a series of events that blend music, dance, and culinary arts. Highlights include J. S. Bach’s Ascension Oratorio, performed by a large-scale orchestra; Dowland – Lachrimae, marking the 400th anniversary of the English composer’s death; Chris Norman and Skye Consort in a festive evening inspired by folk traditions; and Le triomphe des sens by J.-J. Mouret, presented for the first time in Montréal in a choreographed production by Les Jardins Chorégraphiques.
Discover the full lineup of events taking place throughout the historic district, including performances at Place Jacques-Cartier, Marché Bonsecours, Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel, Pointe-à-Callière Museum, and Café des Arts.
