Jason Kent – Music to Give Peace a Chance

18.07.2019 – 18.07.2019

The Fondation Phi pour l’Art Contemporain is happy to invite you to Music to Give Peace A Chance, presented in conjunction with the exhibition LIBERTÉ CONQUÉRANTE/GROWING FREEDOM by Yoko Ono. This compact series of concerts features Montréal artists who will perform a set from their own repertoire and then invite the audience to take part in a rousing sing-along to the timeless anthem Give Peace a Chance. On July 18th at 7PM don't miss the performance of JAson Kent, an artist who has been dabbling in the arts ever since he was a young boy! He has been writing, recording, producing, and performing music for the better part of twenty years and continues to tour in an array of bands, from Kandle, The Dears, The Barr Brothers, Félix Dyotte, Peter Peter…

Between 2014 and 2018, Jason fulfilled a musical fantasy when he began playing the role of George Harrison in a Beatles Tribute. His first self-titled solo record was released in 2006 on MapleMusic, and he has since released an additional three records with this his band Sunfields (acid-laced guitars & sun kissed harmonies) since their inception in 2009. He has written one children’s novel (The Legend Of Levi) and is currently working on Sunfields’ 4th record.
